What is Planned Giving?
Planned giving refers to the thoughtful and deliberate process through which a donor makes a charitable gift to Resurrection School from their estate assets. Such gifts are usually deferred and often irrevocable and include bequests, trusts, and contracts between the donor and Resurrection School in consultation with a professional advisor.
Planned giving is a win-win approach to philanthropic donations that support Resurrection School and can benefit you and your family now or in the future. Simply put, “planned giving” is the transfer of assets to a designated nonprofit organization during a lifetime or as part of an estate plan. This forward-thinking approach to giving is “planned” because often these assets are not liquid, have tax consequences and are generally transferred via a will or other written means.

Pledges—multi-year commitments essential to Annual Fund, Endowment, and Capital Needs—are fully tax-deductible (for those who itemize) and offer the most convenient form of giving, and enable donors to maximize their support over time. When you become a part of the Resurrection Community, you are asked to make a multi-year, tax-deductible pledge in support of the school.
Arrangements can be made to automatically debit your checking or savings account on a monthly or annual basis, at no additional cost to the donor. Use our online gift form to set up recurring gifts.
With matching gifts you can sometimes double or even triple the impact of your gift and receive credit for the whole amount. Find out if your employer offers a matching gift program by asking your HR department.
How will I know my gift was received?
An email notification will confirm your gift was received. If you made a recurring donation, you'll also receive an email with a link to set up an account you can use to manage your gift.
Is it safe and secure?
Online gifts meet the same security standards as online banking. Just be sure to use a secure internet connection (not a public wifi spot).
What are the benefits?
Processing and reporting is much faster and more efficient, and having committed recurring donors helps the school more accurately form its annual budget.
